For those that are interested this is what I plan although it is provisional as some days I might not be able to reach the estimated daily mileage.

- 20/8 Train (1st class) Newcastle to Penzance 11am – 7pm – ride the last 12 miles to accommodation at Sennen (Lands End)
- Day 1 – 21/8 (Sunday) Lands End to Okehampton 104 miles, and includes a 14 mile climb so this will be a test
- Day 2 – 22/8 (Monday) Okehampton to Bristol 106
- Day 3 – 23/8 (Tuesday) Bristol to Shrawbury 112
- Day 4 – 24/8 (Wednesday) Shrawbury to Garstang 95
- Day 5 – 25/8 (Thursday) Preston to Carlisle 94 – 10 mile climb over Shap
- Day 6 – 26/8 (Friday) Carlisle to Paisley 102 – includes a steady 40 mile climb
- Day 7 – 27/8 (Saturday) Paisley to Ballachulisch 90 – includes some big climbs past the ski resorts at the end of the day
- Day 8 – 28/8 (Sunday) Ballachulisch to Fortrose (Black Isle) 96
- Day 9 – 29/8 (Monday) Fortrose to Wick (including ferry) 90
- Day 10 – 30/8 (Tuesday) Wick to John O’Groats 16 then return to Wick for train to Newcastle (hopefully on same day)
